Information About Kayaking at the Channel Islands:
You will be provided with appropriate gear including wetsuits & paddle jackets, a paddling lesson and safety skills overview. We are committed to preserving the islands’ natural beauty and protecting native wildlife by meeting park requirements and properly educating our guests.

The Channel Islands National Park was established by Congress in 1980 to protect the unique natural and cultural resources found both on the islands and within the surrounding waters. We encourage you to learn more about the park:http://www.nps.gov/chis/.

Outfitters have restrictions on providing food to guests; therefore unless otherwise noted, guests need to pack a lunch, and seal it in a zip-lock bag. We will provide a safe place to store your gear while on the water.
Most of our trips to the Channel Islands are chartered through Island Packers, an NPS authorized concessionaire--located in the Ventura and Oxnard Harbors. For directions and more information on Island Packers: http://www.islandpackers.com/contact.html

Participants should dress in layers and have secure footwear. The boat ride to the islands can be very chilly. We will provide you with an equipment list.
Trips are subject to charter boat availability. Weekend reservations should be made at least four days in advance.
